An ode to Indian artistry, the beauty of thoughtful craftsmanship, and a design that carries the promise of becoming an heirloom.
Some pieces of jewellery are created to be admired. Others carry a story that makes them unforgettable.
For Beau: Jewels, The Dance of Annapakshi is one such creation. Bringing together the poetry of Indian mythology, the grandeur of Mughal architecture, and the intricate language of temple ornamentation, this extraordinary pair of earrings has earned the brand the Best Earring Design in Gold at the Retail Jeweller Guild Awards 2026, held in New Delhi on 26 September 2026.
For the team behind the design, the recognition is more than an award. It is a meaningful acknowledgment of the thought, imagination, and dedication that go into creating jewellery that stands apart.
A Mythical Bird, A Story Reimagined
At the heart of the design is the Annapakshi, the divine swan deeply rooted in Indian artistic traditions.
Often mistaken for a dancing peacock, the Annapakshi reveals its true form through its distinctive beak and body, while its elaborate plumage draws inspiration from the peacock. Its depiction in motion evokes the grace of a majestic bird taking flight.
Beau: Jewels brings this mythical form to life through a composition that feels both deeply traditional and refreshingly distinctive. The bird is not merely an ornamental element; it is the soul of the design, setting the rhythm for everything that follows.
Where Architecture Meets Artistry
Crafted in 22kt gold and uncut diamonds, The Dance of Annapakshi is an exploration of three distinct strands of India’s visual heritage.
A delicate gold trellis curves and coils into the form of the Annapakshi, which rests atop twin domes inspired by Mughal palace architecture. Each dome is individually detailed and positioned to introduce movement, dimension, and rhythm.
Below, a cascading veil of gold beads, reminiscent of a traditional sehra, leads to an umbrella-shaped motif adorned with delicate gold bells and a drop-shaped polki.
The antique finish lends the earrings the character of a treasured heirloom, while the gentle chime of the bells introduces an unexpected sensory dimension to the design.
Every element has a purpose. Every detail contributes to a composition that is sculptural, expressive, and unmistakably rooted in India’s artistic vocabulary.
A Recognition That Belongs to the Entire Team
For Parth Jariwala, Founder of Beau: Jewels, the award carries a deeply personal significance.
“Winning this award for Beau: Jewels is deeply special to us. It is a promise to our customers that we will continue to believe in and strive for design excellence. Our in-house team puts a great deal of thought and care into every piece we create, always looking for new ways to innovate. We hope that the jewellery we create today will be loved, worn and passed down through generations.”
His words reflect a philosophy that has always been central to Beau: Jewels: that exceptional jewellery is not defined by its materials alone, but by the thought, care, and creative vision that shape it.
The award also celebrates the people behind the creation, whose collective effort transforms an idea into something that can be cherished for years to come.
Beyond the Award, A Promise for the Future
At Beau: Jewels, the pursuit of design excellence is an ongoing journey. One that draws from the richness of India’s past while embracing new possibilities in jewellery design.
The Dance of Annapakshi is a reflection of that journey. It honours traditions without simply repeating them, bringing together heritage and innovation in a form that feels timeless.
As Beau: Jewels celebrates this recognition, the commitment remains unchanged: to create jewellery that tells a story, evokes emotion, and becomes a part of the memories passed down through generations.
Because the most meaningful creations do more than adorn the present. They leave something beautiful for the future.
